Purple variegated merino fleece dyed by a now-retired professional fleece producer in Grafton, NSW. There are some green hues in here as well as many shades of purple. The colour changes are short so there will be minimal striping in the finished piece.
Semi-woollen spun merino single plied with a repurposed rich purple thread (fibre content unknown) to make a semi-crepe style yarn. There are many little coils of the merino in this, which adds to its nubbly texture. This is a squishy warm yarn with fairly good resistance to pilling. Appropriate for items with low to moderate wear and tear.
Sold as a skein. Storing in skeins minimises the tension on the yarn strand, which means they stay bouncy! Wind into balls when you are ready to make your project.
This yarn has been gently hand washed in eco-friendly wool wash and stored in a climate controlled environment in a sealed tub. Please treat your finished piece with similar care to avoid felting and moth holes!
